Applying for a Position with Maitland City Council
Positions with Council are generally advertised in the Newcastle Herald on Saturday, and supplemented when appropriate with advertisements in the Maitland Mercury, Cessnock Advertiser and/or Sydney Morning Herald.

Work Experience with Maitland City Council
Maitland City Council offers students and other members of the community the opportunity to develop relevant work experience and gain vocational skills that complement their education or their skill base.
Work experience students will be provided with on the job training, support, guidance, feedback and direction in a positive and enthusiastic manner, and will ensure the student's time at Council is meaningful and that their experience is positive.
Interested parties who wanting to undertake work experience with Council must complete the Work Experience Application Form at least 4 weeks prior to the required commencement date and complete all required sections.
