Fitzroy indie pop five piece Architecture in Helsinki and Melbourne rock band The Delta Riggs will headline the 2017 Bitter and Twisted Boutique Beer Festival, when it returns to Maitland Gaol on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November.
With hits including ‘That Beep’, ‘Heart It Races’ and ‘Dream a Little Crazy’, Architecture in Helsinki first came on the scene in 2003 following the release of their debut album ‘Fingers Crossed’. Five records later, the band has become one of Australia’s premier indie groups and they’ll take the stage at Bitter and Twisted on Sunday 5 November with their distinctive style and energetic live show.
The Delta Riggs will unleash their high energy jams on the Bitter and Twisted crowd on Saturday 4 November. The four piece came out of the wood work with a self titled EP in 2010 and have dropped big singles like ‘Supersonic Casualties’ and ‘Gooey’, which reached number 12 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 in 2014.
Also confirmed to join Architecture in Helsinki and The Delta Riggs are Mia Dyson, I Know Leopard and The Vanns.
Council’s Events Curator Jess Hartigan says ‘It is fantastic to have outstanding acts locked in for this year’s event. We are confident Architecture in Helsinki and The Delta Riggs, along with all the other artists, will be the perfect complement to the fantastic range of Australian craft beer and delicious food on offer as part of the weekend event.
Tickets for Bitter and Twisted 2017 will go on sale on International Beer Day, Friday 4 August. Go to bitterandtwisted.com.au or call 4931 2888 for more information.
