Morpeth Cemetery and Columbarium

History

Morpeth Cemetery's first burial was in 1845 and consists of a number of denominations including Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Non-denominational, Church of England, Methodist and a non-denominational Columbarium wall where ashes are interred. The monuments here are pre-dominantly a mixture of old and modern sandstone and marble.

Within the grounds of Morpeth Cemetery alongside the Methodist section are two (2) Columbarium walls constructed for the internment of ashes.

Status

Morpeth Cemetery is still in operational use.
