Maitland City Library provides access to a range of online research databases. Online resources available to library members are detailed below and can be accessed at home, school or work using your library barcode number.

	Academic Search Elite	A full text database offering scholarly and comprensive coverage of all aspects of science, social studies, law, music and religion
	Australia/NZ Reference Centre and MasterFILE Premier	Full text articles and news stories from Australasian magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books.
	Consumer Health Complete	Full text plain language articles and reviews covering health, medicine and alternative therapies.
	Encyclopedia Britannica	Full text of the Encyclopedia Britannica with additional research content
	Grove Art	Comprehensive, reliable and scholarly research articles and images covering all aspects and periods of world art.
	Literary Reference Center	Full text literary reference database, containing biographies and critical assessments on the most studied authors and their works.
	NoveList Plus	Database of fiction and non-fiction titles and authors covering all genres. Ideal for students, general readers and members of book clubs who want to explore the world of books.
	Australia/NZ Points of View	Provides students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of more that 270 current social issues.
	Oxford Reference Online	A premium collection of Oxford University Press full text reference publications online, including the Oxford Companion to English Literature, The Oxford Companion to Australian History, The Oxford Companion to the Earth, and a range of titles covering art, history, politics, philosphy and sciences.
	Science Reference Center	Full text articles and reference material on science topics. Designed especially for students but suitable for general interest.
	Standards Australia Online**	A comprehensive online collection of international and Australian standards, many with full text coverage. **Standards Australia online is only available from within the library.
	Choice online **	A comprehensive online resource of product testing, investigation and advocacy on behalf of all consumers. Topics and issues cover health, safety, smart purchasing and sustainability. **Choice online is only available from within the library.
