drumMUSTER is on again in Maitland next week, answering one of the greatest problems facing users of crop production and animal health products: chemical container disposal. drumMUSTER provides collection and recycling of clean and empty plastic and metal crop production and on-farm animal health chemical containers that carry the dumMUSTER logo (above). The next drumMUSTER event for the Maitland local government area is at the Council Works Depot, Metford Rd, on Friday 25 May 2012.

MAITLAND CITY COUNCIL DRAFT OPERATIONAL PLAN FOR 2012/13 FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

Maitland City Councillors have voted in favour of the public exhibition of the Council’s Draft Operational plan for 2012/13. The plan outlines Council’s financial position and projected budget allocations for the second year of its four year Delivery Program (2011 – 2015). The report presents an estimated budget of $85 million for 2012/13, with a modest surplus of $5,000, to be allocated in support of the five themes of its ten year community strategic plan ‘Maitland 2021’: • Proud place, great lifestyle • Our places and spaces • Our natural environment • A prosperous and vibrant city • Connected and collaborative community leaders
