PLANNING CONSULTATION - 'HAVE YOUR SAY'

An important part of this process is ensuring that local residents, local organisations and other stakeholders are informed about what is happening and enable everyone to Have Their Say on the future of Maitland.

To view any draft Strategic Planning Strategies, Plans and Policies currently on exhibition scroll down below.  Hard copies of the consultation document are also available during business hours at Council's Administration Building, Maitland Central Library and all of Council's branch libraries.

If you wish to comment on any strategic planning documents currently on exhibition you should do so in writing.  Submissions must be received by 4.30pm on the final day of consultation and should be addressed to the General Manager, Maitland City Council, PO Box 220, Maitland 2320, or emailed to strategicplanning@maitland.nsw.gov.au quoting the relevant reference number. 

NOTICE OF ADOPTION
MAITLAND CITY WIDE DEVELOPMENT CONTROL PLAN
LARGS URBAN RELEASE AREA PLAN

Council, at its meeting of 13 October 2009, resolved to adopt the Largs Urban Release Area Plan, which forms part of the Maitland City Wide Development Contol Plan.

The Largs Urban Release Area Plan provides detailed guidance to people undertaking development within the Largs Urban Release Area and prescribes Council's objectives and requirements.

The Area Plan will provide Council and the community with clear direction and clarity as to the expected residential character and future neighbourhood amenity of the area, and ensure that all development respects the natural and man-made constraints of the land, and is designed to be sympathetic to the surrounding environment.

The Area Plan comes into effect on the date of this public notice, being Monday 26 October 2009.

The Area Plan may be viewed or purchased at the Customer Service Counter of Council, 285-287 High Street, Maitland.

MLEP 2011 Newsletter

As part of the City Strategy team's consultation program and to ensure that our local residents, community organisations and other sakeholders are kept up to date on the activities of the City Strategy Team, a quarterly newsletter will be sent out.  This newsletter will inform everyone on documents on consultation, feedback and updates on the preparation of strategic planning documents, in particular the Maitland LEP 2011.
