Construction of the indoor pool
Following 14 months of construction, the 25 metre indoor pool was opened in July 2017. The $9.7 million facility features a large pool hall, and state of the art air conditioning and filtration equipment. As part of the construction process, there were also upgrades completed to the Maitland Aquatic Centre’s existing amenities.
The project was delivered as part of Council's Capital Works program, with funding provided through Section 94 development fees.
