Temporary Road Closures - Part of High Street - 2015 New Years Eve Celebration in Maitland
Council intends to temporarily close some streets in Maitland to vehicular traffic during the New Year's Eve celebrations on the riverbank. The closure details are:
From 6.00am Thursday 31 December 2015 to 9.00am Friday 1 January 2016 (closure time at Police discretion):
St Andrews Street between High Street and riverbank
Riverside Car Park
From 3.00pm Thursday 31 December 2015 to 1.00am Friday 1 January 2016:
High Street - eastbound lane from Belmore Road to just west of Church Street
High Street - westbound lane from just west of Church Street to Little Hunter Street (egress to Belmore Rd will be maintained via Little Hunter Street).

The closing date for comments (not related to the road closure) is 12.00noon Thursday 10 September 2015.

"The Maitland Taste" Food, Wine & Music Festival 2016
Council has received an application to temporarily close High Street, Maitland from Elgin Street to Bourke Street (The Levee), and part of Bulwer Street to conduct the "Maitland Taste" Food, Wine & Music Festival, to be held on Saturday 12 March and Sunday 13 March 2016.
It is proposed that the following Maitland roads be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic during this event:
6.00am Friday 11 March 2016 to 7.00am Monday 14 March 2016:
High Street - between Elgin Street and Bourke Street
Bulwer Street - from High Street to just north of the Maitland Leagues Club entrance
Comments relating to the running of the event (not related to road closures or traffic management), should be made in writing, addressed to the General Manager, Maitland City Council, PO Box 220, Maitland 2320, endorsed "Maitland Taste - Food, Wine & Music Festival - File 150/5". The closing date for comments relating to special events is 4.00pm Thursday 10 December 2015.
