Temporary Closure - Works - The Riverwalk between Lavenders Riverside Café & the rear of 360a High Street, Maitland

Notice is hereby given that Council’s contractor will be temporarily closing The Riverwalk between Lavenders Riverside Café, 418a High Street, and the rear of 360a High Street Maitland (Beud Korean Restaurant) from 2 March 2017 for a period of four months for reconstruction of the section of The Riverwalk at the rear of The Riverlink Building which is presently under construction.

Detours and signs will be in place directing people either into High Street, or on to The Levee lower road, adjacent to the riverbank.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE –ROAD WORKS INTERSECTION OF VISTA PARADE AND MINGAY AVENUE EAST MAITLAND

Council wishes to advise that the intersection of Vista Parade and Mingay Avenue will be temporarily closed for approximately 8 weeks from mid-August to mid-October 2017 to allow this section of road to be reconstructed.

Detour will include Turnbull Drive, Rathluba Crescent and Maher Avenue.

Victoria Street Station Upgrade

From 6.00pm Sunday 23 July 2017 to 3.00am Monday 24 July 2017 works will occur at Victoria Street Station.  A crane will be established on Waller Street to crane materials onto the station platform.  Traffic control will be present to direct traffic and commuters safely around the station.  The station footbridge will remain open to pedestrians.

Works will involve the impact on up to 10 parking spaces on Waller Street (opposite the marked community parking spaces and station entry).  These will be unavailable from 1.00pm Saturday 22 July 2017 to allow for establishment of a site for the crane and safe traffic movements.

All other construction activities on the station upgrade will occur during standard working hours which are:

  • 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday
  • 8.00am to 1.00pm Saturday.

Notification of any works occurring outside these standard hours will be given prior to works commencing.
