 Temporary Bridge Closure - Melville Ford Bridge - Aberglasslyn Road

Melville Ford Bridge will be temporarily closed to traffic on Saturday 25 February 2017 from 7.00am to 4.00pm to  allow the installation of metal plates over some sections of the bridge.  Signage will be in place.

Temporary Closure - Works - The Riverwalk between Lavenders Riverside Café & the rear of 360a High Street, Maitland

Notice is hereby given that Council’s contractor will be temporarily closing The Riverwalk between Lavenders Riverside Café, 418a High Street, and the rear of 360a High Street Maitland (Beud Korean Restaurant) from 2 March 2017 for a period of four months for reconstruction of the section of The Riverwalk at the rear of The Riverlink Building which is presently under construction.

Detours and signs will be in place directing people either into High Street, or on to The Levee lower road, adjacent to the riverbank.

Temporary Closure of Morpeth Bridge on Phoenix Park Road, Morpeth from Friday 17 February 2017

Roads and Maritime Services is carrying out major maintenance work which includes replacing truss elements on the Morpeth Bridge.  Four full bridge closures are required to enable the installation of temporary support structures which cannot be completed while the bridge is open to traffic.

The second full bridge closure will be in place for four days from 6.00am Friday 17 February 2017 until 6.00pm Monday 20 February 2017, weather permitting.

Phoenix Park Road, from Morpeth to the Hinton Road intersection, will also be closed to traffic.  Access to this section of the road will be maintained for residents.

During the closure, detour arrangements will be in place via Pitnacree Road to the west. 

Changed traffic conditions including single lane closures and a temporary reduced speed limit will continue to be in place intermittently between 9.00am and 5.00pm, weather permitting, as part of ongoing maintenance work.
