Temporary Closure - Works - The Riverwalk between Lavenders Riverside Café & the rear of 360a High Street, Maitland
Notice is hereby given that Council’s contractor will be temporarily closing The Riverwalk between Lavenders Riverside Café, 418a High Street, and the rear of 360a High Street Maitland (Beud Korean Restaurant) from 2 March 2017 for a period of four months for reconstruction of the section of The Riverwalk at the rear of The Riverlink Building which is presently under construction.
Detours and signs will be in place directing people either into High Street, or on to The Levee lower road, adjacent to the riverbank.

BRIDGE WORKS - Roads & Maritime Services
Bridges around Maitland and the Hunter are set for a tidy up thanks to Roads and Maritime Services. The NSW Government organisation will start work this month on 100 of the 500 bridges it maintains across the Hunter Region.
Work will be carried out on bridges longer than 80 metres from Monday to Thursday between 7pm and 5am.
Four pedestrian bridges over the New England Highway are set for improvements as part of the program, including walkways at Avalon Drive, Anzac Street, Devonshire Street and Maitland Train Station.
Other local structures included on the list are P.Z Trzecinski Bridge over Main Northern Railway on the New England Highway, Harry Boyle Bridge on Pitnacree Road, Long Bridge over the flood channel on High Street and Belmore Bridge on Belmore Road.
Work will involve cleaning bridge decks, minor vegetation clearing and joint and rail maintenance.
Work on each bridge is expected to take two nights to complete, weather permitting.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – RAIL BRIDGE WORKS WOLLOMBI ROAD FARLEY
Council wishes to advise that Wollombi Road between Green Street Rutherford and Old North Road Farley will be temporarily closed to traffic to allow piling works to be carried out beneath the rail bridge overpass. This work is being organised by ARTC as part of the proposed upgrade to this rail bridge.
Proposed closure dates are from 6am Saturday 18 November 2017 to 6.00pm Sunday 26 November 2017.
Detour will be via Old North Road, Station Lane, New England Highway and Regiment Road. Access will be maintained for local traffic only.
Night Work on Long Bridge, Maitland from 20 November 2017
The NSW Government is providing $500,000 in funding to carry out essential maintenance work to ensure the bridge's future safe operation.
Roads & Maritime Services (RMS) is carrying out work on The Long Bridge, Maitland. The work will involve resurfacing and waterproofing the bridge deck and pedestrian footpaths.
To minimise disruption to motorists, this work will be carried out between 6.00pm and 6.00am from Sunday to Friday. Some work may need to be carried out between 7.00am and 5.00pm, from Monday to Friday and between 8.00am and 2.00pm on Saturday.
Works are expected to take three weeks.
The bridge will be temporarily closed to traffic between 6.00pm and 6.00am from Sunday to Friday. Detour arrangements will be in place via the New England Highway for eastbound motorists and via Ken Tubman Drive and Allan Walsh Drive for westbound motorists.
Temporary restrictions will also be in place for pedestrians and cyclists, however a lower level footpath and cycleway will remain open while the work is carried out.
