Friends Annual Lecture

Friends of Maitland City Library Annual lecture

The friends of Maitland City Library sponsor an Annual Lecture. The idea of an Annual Maitland Lecture was first mooted in 2010 when expert Michael Clarke gave a lecture to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the 1955 Maitland flood.

Following the success of the event it was decided to invite a prominent Australian to give an annual lecture on a topic of universal interest.

See the Friends calendar for 2016 for the date of this year's lecture
