The “Bitter and Twisted” Boutique Beer Festival is to be held at Maitland Gaol on 2 and 3 November 2019. Maitland City Council proposes the following temporary road closure in East Maitland for this event.
The temporary closure is detailed below for public exhibition and comment: -
6.00am to 8.00pm daily Saturday 2 November and Sunday 3 November 2019:
a) John Street East Maitland - to be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from the roundabout on Morpeth Road to just east of the Maitland Gaol entry gates
b) A temporary Disability Parking Zone will be installed on John Street just east of the Gaol administration car park exit driveway
c) A temporary Taxi Zone will be installed on John Street just east of the Disability Parking Zone.
Comments relating to the running of the event itself (not related to road closure or traffic management) should be forwarded in writing, addressed to the General Manager, Maitland City Council, P.O. Box 220, Maitland 2320, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org, endorsed “Bitter and Twisted 2019 Special Event – file 150/5”. The closing date for comments relating to the special event is 4.00pm 15 August 2019.
Comments relating to the temporary road closure can also be forwarded in writing or e-mail (addressed to the General Manager at the above address), endorsed “Bitter and Twisted Event 2019 - Temporary Road Closure – File 122/944”. The closing date for comments relating to the road closure / traffic management is 4.00pm on 29 August 2019.
