How do you see Maitland’s future for sustainability? What are your environmental priorities? Can we as a community be more resilient?
Thank you to everyone who provided their input into our first ever Environmental Sustainability Strategy. The Environmental Sustainability Strategy is an exciting and influential plan that will guide how Council, the community and other organisations will respond to our collective environmental priorities. We asked about sustainability priorities, attitudes towards environmental issues, the future of waste, power, transport, community resilience and more.
We collected approximately 1,000 responses via online surveys and over the phone and we have taken all of this feedback on board and have incorporated it into our upcoming draft Environmental Sustainability Strategy.
