Seniors Festival

Seniors Festival

NSW Seniors Festival celebrates older people and encourages them to remain active in their communities.

The NSW Seniors Festival is about celebrating older people and the contributions they make to our community.

Events and activities are held across the state in March or April each year that focus on art, sport, music, technology, recreation, health, good nutrition and much more.

Council has been involved in celebrating Seniors Festival in various ways for many years. In recent times, this has meant working with the Seniors Festival Reference Group to plan and coordinate a rock concert. This concert has had attendances of around 300 older people rock ‘n’ rolling to the sounds of yesteryear and reliving memories. This year will see the concert in its seventh year.

The event will be held on Thursday 5 April at Maitland Town Hall.

The ballot for this event has now closed. Successful participants will be contacted by 23 March 2018. If you would like to see what else is on offer during Seniors Festival in Maitland, please see the Program of Events.
