Workhouse Woes: Laundry Lass

Ever wondered what Maitland Gaol’s female prisoners spent their days doing?

Enjoy a one hour guided tour of the Gaol, learning the ins and outs of prisoners routine, before getting a change to do some washing, like the good old days. With buckets to carry water and washboards to clean the clothes, we will have the children working like a human washing machine!

Please note: Children are coming into contact with water for this activity, please dress appropriately.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
