High Achievers Grant Program
The grant is open all year and applicants must reside or practice in the Maitland Local Government Area (LGA). Individuals, Collectives and Teams are eligible to apply. Decisions on applications can take 6-8 weeks from the date of submission. A maximum of two grants per individual can be awarded each financial year.
Section 356 Community Grants Policy applies to this grant program. See below for applications including guidelines. An acquittal form is required to be submitted no more than 30 days after the event has been held.
These grants cover two categories:
This grant is designed to respond to requests for support of individuals in the following Creative Arts fields:
• Cultural Heritage (Skilled Crafts)*
• Literature (Written and Spoken Word i.e. Poetry, Storytelling, Writing)
• Performing Arts (Circus, Drama, Dance, Puppetry and Music)**
• Visual Arts (Digital Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Film, Sculpture)
* Refers to artisans working with but not exclusive to, Ceramics, Decorative Art, Glass, Jewellery,
** Does not include sport associated dance performance.
Funding is available to individuals or collectives who have been selected to participate, or are nominated by a recognised peak body to represent and participate at national or international level. Funding amounts range from $450 to $750 depending on the level of representation.

This grant is designed to respond to requests for support of individuals in Sports and Recreation fields.
Funding is available to individuals or teams who have been selected to participate, or are nominated by a recognised peak body to represent and participate at national or international level in Sports and Recreation fields. Funding amounts range from $450 to $1,500 depending on the level of representation.
