New Largs Skate Park Design
We are currently creating plans and developing designs for a new skate park at Largs and we want to know what you'd like to see featured in the park. The new facility will be built on the site of the existing skate park, in collaboration with Trinity Skateparks.
Largs Skate Park constructed in the early 2000’s has been identified for replacement with a new and improved facility. The existing skate park is outdated and provides minimal variety and diversity for users.
Along with a new skate facility, the site will be refreshed with shade structures, bins, seating, and an accessible connection between the skate park and Largs Avenue.
100% of funding for the Largs skate park project has come through Phase 3 of the local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) grant program (Federal funding) totalling $550,000.
It is anticipated that community consultation and the design process for the Largs skate park will be completed in April 2023 with construction to commence in May 2023.
Trinity Skateparks was awarded the contract for the design, consultation and construction of two new skate parks, one in Largs and one in Thornton.
