Review of Maitland +10
Council has been seeking input into a review of Maitland +10, the local community’s long term strategic plan, which sets a vision for Maitland. Council has temporarily put the review on hold due to the deferral of the 2020 local government elections to 2021 and to assess the community impact of COVID-19 on future planning. The review will recommence later in the year.
Maitland +10 identifies the main priorities and aspirations for the future of the Maitland local government area over the next 10 years, and 2021 will be the 10th anniversary of our first community strategic plan.
Since Maitland +10 was originally developed in 2011, many major projects have been delivered including The Riverlink Building, Maitland’s indoor pool and the redevelopment at Maitland No. 1 Sportsground.
Maitland +10 determines Council’s focus for the coming years by capturing our community’s vision for the future of Maitland and in turn, guides Council’s four year Delivery Program and annual Operational Plans.
