Council meets twice a month on Tuesdays at 5.30pm in Maitland Town Hall.
Council meetings have been impacted by public health orders relating to social distancing and indoor gatherings. In response to those orders and in accordance with amendments to the NSW Local Government Act, 1993:
Council meetings have relocated to the Maitland Town Hall auditorium
Physical attendance by members of the public is no longer allowed
‘Public’ presence at Council meetings is available and meets Act requirements by the webcasting of Council meetings
Meetings can now be conducted remotely by audio visual link, and by all Councillors or Councillors may individually opt to participate by audio visual link
Public Access submissions to Council are not possible by personal presence.
Requests for public access will be determined by the General Manager based on merit and an appropriate means by which any submission may be provided.
