Give the kids a twisted time
There is a whole lot happening in Maitland at the moment and this weekend is no different with the annual Bitter & Twisted Boutique Beer Festival back again at Maitland Gaol.
As in past years, Saturday sold out quickly but I understand that there are still tickets available for Sunday. The second day of the event is really a family day so if you have no plans yet, you might want to consider going along with the kids.
There is obviously the great boutique beer, music and food on offer, but this year there is a lot of entertainment locked in that is tailored to the youngsters. There are dance groups, a circus act, balloon making, face painting and even a dancing grandpa which is all set to keep the kids entertained!
This is another opportunity to be part of one of our most popular events, so I hope to see you there. Tickets are available at bitterandtwisted.com.au/tickets
Arts in Health Fundraiser
I would also like to make mention of Friday’s Arts in Health Fundraiser at Maitland Regional Art Gallery, which kicks off at 7.00pm. The event is supported by Walka Grange Lifestyle Village and Rotary Club of Maitland Sunrise and it helps to raise funds for members of the community living with memory loss, mental health problems, sensory processing needs and others with accessibility requirements. There will also be an opportunity to hear from the ‘First Lady of Ballroom’ Helen Richey, who will be chatting with ABC Newcastle on the night.
