Maitland City Council opens the door for community feedback

Maitland City Council is asking for the community’s feedback through their biennial Community Satisfaction Survey which is now open to residents until 19 April via their website.

From much-loved libraries, pools and parks to waste services and sustainability, Council wants to hear about residents’ experiences and opinions on their services, facilities and overall performance.

Council’s General Manager, Jeff Smith said “we are calling on Maitland residents to jump online for 10 to 15 minutes and provide their honest feedback – we’re here to listen.”

The online survey also addresses topics such as communication preferences, community development programs and residents’ feedback on everyday neighbourhood services.

“We’d love the community to play their part to inform Council’s planning, service improvements and future priorities,” Mr Smith said.

Specifically, the results help shape the community outcome indicators of Council’s Community Strategic Plan, as well as the service performance measures in future Delivery Programs.

Mr Smith said, “Our commitment to meaningful consultation and engagement with our community is one of many ways we are continuing to build a connected city with thriving communities.”

Alongside the online survey, 500 randomly selected residents across a broad range of demographics will also receive a phone call from Micromex Research between 1 and 15 April with the option to give verbal feedback.
