'Space Funk! Disco Dystopia' is an exciting night of performances, live music and art coming to Coffin Lane, Central Maitland on Saturday 27 February.
Running from 6.00pm to 10.00pm, the family friendly night will include mask making, dancing and poetry performers, live music, art exhibitions, filmmaking puppets and space monsters.
The event will also feature a screening of 'Space Junk!' at 9.00pm and launch the second of Poulson's film trilogy 'Space Funk! The Wolf' - a werewolf movie set in Maitland.
The exciting project is brought to you by Julien Poulson and is funded by Council's Creative Streets After Dark program.
Council's Senior Place Activation Officer Portia Wendt says, 'to get involved in the fun of the night and filming of 'Space Funk! The Wolf' everyone is encouraged to turn up in their best Sci-Fi fancy dress'.
The Creative Streets After Dark program aims to support projects that contribute to the night time economy in Maitland and help create safer and more enjoyable streets.
A comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan will be in place for the event.
The event organiser will continue to monitor and adhere to the advice from the Federal and State Governments, including any variation or modification of the public health orders.
