We welcome outdoor dining in Maitland. We've made it free and easy for businesses to apply.
It’s never been easier to apply for outdoor dining in Maitland.
Business operators can visit Service NSW to check your eligibility and submit your application.
In 2021 the NSW Government made changes to planning requirements so that pubs and small bars can use exempt development for their outdoor dining areas. Development applications are no longer required.
The NSW Government has an Alfresco Restart Package designed to support businesses as part of the NSW COVID-19 economic recovery. Rebates of up to $5000 for hospitality businesses are available to establish or expand alfresco settings. More information here.
