Youth Week Grants
Spread the word! Youth Week will be celebrated from Monday 4 April to Thursday 14 April 2022.
As part of Youth Week, Council, in collaboration with the Department of Family and Community Services, provides funding to groups which involve young people in planning, developing and managing activities.
Non-profit, incorporated organisations or groups that want to work with young people to deliver a 2022 Youth Week event can apply for up to $1,000 in funding.
To be successful, applications will need to provide information on the proposed Youth Week event and how young people will be involved throughout the planning and coordinating. Applicants are also encouraged to collaborate with other groups where possible.
To assess Youth Week Grant applications and the allocation of funding to successful applicants, nominations for the 2022 Maitland Youth Week Grant Program Committee are now open to young people aged 12 to 25 years, living, working or studying in Maitland.
For more information on the Maitland City Council Youth Week Grant Program 2022, please contact Katherine Simmons, Team Leader Community and Recreation Planning on 02 4939 1029 or [email protected]
Maitland City Council are encouraging young people aged 12 to 25 who currently live, work or study in Maitland, to be part of the Youth Week Grants assessment panel for 2021.
The Maitland Youth Week Grants Program Committee is responsible for assessing applications and allocating funding to successful grant recipients under the Council governed Maitland Youth Week Grant Program. The program provides funding to local groups and service providers to organise Youth Week celebrations across Maitland during between Friday 16 April to Saturday 24 April 2021.
