Beyond the Flood Levels

Submissions for 'Beyond the Flood Levels', an interpretation project acknowledging the permanent mark Maitland's flood history has had on the development of the city are currently under review. 

The Place Activation team at Maitland City Council has recently sought Expressions of Interest from experienced digital placemakers and augmented reality specialists to deliver 'Beyond the Flood Levels'. The project will deliver a connected series of unique, location specific, innovative and captivating interpretive experiences to acknowledge the significant impact of flooding events across Central Maitland on the Maitland community and the identity of the city.

This project is directed by the Place Activation Strategy guiding principle Interpretation and is aligned with the Central Maitland Heritage Interpretation Plan.
