We understand moving to a new place can be daunting, especially if you don't know anyone. Rest assured, Maitland people are very welcoming, and you'll know your neighbours in no time.
We are a vibrant and growing city that offers a contemporary urban lifestyle, just minutes from picturesque rural landscapes. You're spoilt for choice when it comes to learning and education, with several preschools, day care facilities and schools across the city. Access to healthcare and wellbeing services are also highly important. You'll be in good hands with Maitland Hospital, Maitland Private Hospital, Lower Hunter Community Health Service, aged care facilities, baby and family health care providers and a host of other health and wellbeing specialists. The NSW Government's $470 million new Maitland Hospital project is now underway, with works having commenced at the site in late 2019. The new hospital facility will meet the growing health needs for our community and the surrounding communities, now and into the future, and is currently on track to open in early 2022.
