There really are some special people in Maitland who tirelessly give up their time to volunteer and assist others. From assisting the aged and disabled, to helping coordinate some of the city’s biggest events, there’s an opportunity to suit every interest area, skill level and schedule.

Maitland Events

The Maitland Events team is responsible for delivering seven flagship events for the city each year including Hunter Valley Steamfest, Maitland Taste Festival, Maitland Aroma Festival, Riverlights Multicultural Festival, Bitter and Twisted International Boutique Beer Festival, New Year's Eve and Australia Day.

These events are considered to be an integral part of Maitland’s cultural identity and are helping the city to become widely recognised as a home of unique, exciting and extremely successful festivals which would not be possible without our dedicated team and the volunteers who work alongside them.
