#MyMaitland is Council’s Visitor Economy campaign for the city. The campaign focusses on locals sharing stories, places and experiences using #MyMaitland, turning them into ambassadors for the city and encouraging their friends and relatives to visit.

Maitland’s Visitor Economy is worth $96 million each year, with over 60% of domestic overnight visitors (around 85,000) coming to visit friends and relatives (VFR)*. So, if everyone in Maitland invited just one person to come and visit them overnight, it would represent an additional $10 million growth in the city’s visitor economy, ultimately creating jobs for local people.
