Pursuant to the provisions of the NSW Floodplain Development Manual 2005, notice is hereby given of the public exhibition of a draft Lochinvar Creek Flood Study.
The Draft Lochinvar Creek Flood Study is the first stage in the floodplain management process and is a comprehensive technical investigation of flood behaviour for the entire Lochinvar Creek catchment. The Lochinvar Creek catchment covers the urbanised areas of Lochinvar and adjacent rural areas.
The draft flood study will be on exhibition from 1 April 2019 to 3 May 2019 and can be viewed at Council's:
- Website maitland.nsw.gov.au
- Citizen Service Centre (285-287 High Street, Maitland)
- Libraries (Rutherford, Maitland, Thornton and East Maitland)
A community drop-in session will be held on 16 April 2019 between 1.00pm to 5.00pm at Maitland Town Hall. This will be an opportunity for property owners and residents in the Lochinvar Creek catchment to speak directly with the consultant and Council staff about the study and to ask questions.
