Flood Recovery Information
With the recent flood event having a massive impact on our community in Maitland, we have provided the following links to connect those affected with both support and tips for assistance and clean up safety measures.

- Flood impacted farmers and landholders in NSW that require assistance with animal welfare related issues can call the Agriculture and Animal Services Hotline on 1800 817 647
- If find or have a beehive in floodwaters, the location can be reported to the Varroa Mite page or the Exotic Plant Pest Hotline can be contacted on 1800 084 881
- Information to identify asbestos and understand the safety measures that need to be taken when handling the material during flood clean up.

- Stay with family, friends or other accommodation outside of the area likely to be impacted

Disaster assistance
Help is now available for Maitland residents, businesses, farmers, sports clubs, not for profits, and other groups impacted by severe storms and flooding from 27 June 2022.
Immediate assistance is available to impacted residents, and you may be able to claim more than one payment if you meet the respective criteria.
This is jointly funded by the State and Federal Government. Learn more and see if you're eligible via the National Recovery and Resilience Agency website.
Flood waste assistance is also available to affected properties that have been impacted by flood waters. Free disposal to eligible property owners will be available from Friday 14 July to Saturday 31 December 2022.
