The Maitland Regional Athletics Centre is a state of the art facility part of the Maitland Regional Sports Complex located next to No.1 Sportsground in Central Maitland.
The Centre includes a World Athletics Certified synthetic athletics track, world class playing field, track and field facilities, floodlighting, a grandstand with a capacity of 560, inclusive change rooms, canteen and two large function spaces.
The $10.5 million project was joint funded by Council and Restart NSW Hunter Infrastructure and Investment Fund and can be hired by athletics and sporting clubs, community groups and organisations at all levels, all year round.
Entry to the car parking area can be found off James Street, next to the Maitland Regional Sportsground entrance, or from High Street.
