We're opening our community halls, sporting facilities and major venues in a staged way to ensure the health and safety of our customers and our employees.
The first stage focuses on supporting our regular hirers to welcome them back to our venues. We'll advise when we can accommodate casual bookings very soon.
The team can be contacted at [email protected] and aim to get back to enquiries with 48 to 72 hours. They are currently experiencing a high volume of enquiries, so please have patience as they work diligently to help you or check out the FAQs available below.
You can complete a Covid Safety Plan. You will need to submit your Covid Safety Plan to Council via [email protected] ahead of your booking to ensure our team can confirm your booking.

Maitland's open spaces, dog parks and play spaces are open. The current Public Health Order permits small outdoor gatherings and recreation with up to 30 fully vaccinated people.
A two person limit applies for people who are not fully vaccinated.
QR check in codes are to be used where installed, including all skate parks and high traffic walking paths and dog parks. Fines apply for those not complying with public health orders. For more information, visit www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19

An outdoor public gathering for sport or exercise – including training activities – may occur provided that:
People aged 16 and over are fully vaccinated or have a valid medical exemption (Medical Certificate required).
There are no more than 20 people involved, including participants, coaches and officials, and parents or spectators.
The NSW Office of Sport has advised that all Clubs and Associations are expected to have a COVID-19 Safety Plan for all gatherings of the above nature from Monday, October 11.
Currently, no organised community sport competitions or programs are permitted until the state hits the 80% double dose vaccination milestone.
A person who resides in Greater Sydney must not participate in recreation outside Greater Sydney. A person who lives outside of Greater Sydney (i.e. Regional NSW) must not participate in recreation in Greater Sydney. This setting remains in place until the state reaches the 80% double dose vaccination milestone.
