Lindsay Guy has dedicated more than 40 years to martial arts, building a thriving school in Rutherford. Under his leadership at Guy’s Karate, he has provided a safe, disciplined, and inspiring environment for young people and families, producing many black belts in the local area.

Born and educated in Maitland, Lindsay has represented his town, state, and Australia in national and international competitions, earning induction into the International Sport Karate Association Hall of Fame, the Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and the World Karate Hall of Fame.

A 7th Dan in Karate, 2nd Dan in Taekwondo, and 1st Dan in Okinawan Weapons, Lindsay has coached at the highest levels, including serving as an Australian coach at the 2023 World Championships in Yokohama, Japan.

Through his school, mentoring programs, and broader community involvement and leadership, including his life membership at Newcastle Surf Life Saving and his chairing of the Maitland Saints AFL Club, he has fostered confidence, resilience, and discipline across generations, strengthening Maitland’s community development and sporting identity.
