
Major projects approved by Hunter and Central Coast JRPP
The development application for the Maitland Administration Centre was approved yesterday by the Hunter and Central Coast Joint Regional Planning Panel (JRPP).
Maitland Mayor, Cr Loretta Baker says 'As the Maitland community continues to rapidly grow, Council is developing a fit for purpose Maitland Administration Centre that will position the organisation to provide contemporary services to our growing community both now and into the future'.
In addition, the Maitland Administration Centre will link to Town Hall across the ground and first floors, providing better accessibility to the Council Chamber and connectivity to upgraded facilities in Town Hall for the community.

Council’s Waste Transfer Facility was also approved yesterday by Hunter and Central Coast JRPP. The planned facility at the existing waste management site on Mount Vincent Road in East Maitland includes a small vehicle waste and recycling facility, material segregation facility, new gatehouse to support the existing weighbridge and an administration building.
'The Waste Transfer Facility will allow Council to better manage the Maitland community’s waste and recyclables into the future, said Mayor Baker.
