Shop, play and win big these school holidays at The Levee

Families are in for a treat this winter with The Levee Central Maitland offering the ultimate mix of entertainment, prizes and local shopping these school holidays. The popular Spend to Win promotion is back and wrapping up with a day of family fun at Kids Big Day Out. 

From Monday 23 June to Sunday 23 July, shoppers who spend $20 or more at participating businesses will go into the draw to win one of two weekly $300 vouchers, as well as a major prize of a $3,300 shopping spree at The Levee. 

To celebrate the final weekend of the promotion, Kids Big Day Out will take over the precinct on Saturday 19 July from 10am to 2pm. This free event promises an action-packed day full of science experiments, live shows, games, roaming performers and hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy. 

Maitland City Council Coordinator City Events and Activations Adam Franks said the school holidays are the perfect time to explore The Levee and support local traders. 

“We wanted to give families a reason to visit more than once during the school holidays, and what better way than combining exciting prizes with a fun-packed family event,” Mr Franks says. 

“Spend to Win is about supporting our local businesses and rewarding our community, and this year, we have over 70 participating stores. It’s a fantastic excuse to pick up a coffee, do some shopping or grab a meal and maybe win big while you’re at it.” 

“Our free, family fun day, Kids Big Day Out, will be a school holiday highlight, especially for young science lovers and curious minds.” 

Kids Big Day Out will include live science shows presented by the University of Newcastle’s SMART team, where kids can experience liquid nitrogen experiments, rocket launches and more. There will also be hands-on reptile encounters, life-like dinosaurs' enclosure and giant lawn games. 

Activities will be held at various locations across The Levee, allowing families to explore the precinct while enjoying the entertainment.
