Our deep aqua class is a non-weight bearing form of exercise, so the range of movement and intensity is far greater than you can achieve on dry land and most importantly without the impact. Buoyancy belts are provided so even those who cannot swim can participate. Deep aqua is a class designed to improve your fitness, develop muscle tone, help with weight loss and also strengthen your abdominals and core. This 45 minute class is very much designed for your individual work out so, no matter what your goal you have the option to work at an intensity that suits you. This class is held at East Maitland Pool.

The FITMAT is a floating training platform that provides a new, fun, and dynamic way to exercise. Its main feature is its rigidity and ability to float on water. Aqua cycling has been designed to take advantage of the many benefits of the aquatic environment. The strongest advantage of the Aqua bike is the utilisation of the waters buoyancy for joint support, which provides protection for those who have special medical concerns such as arthritis. The resistance is determined by four paddle wheels. Resistance is also added by increasing RPM’s through acceleration which is a key component in aquatic conditioning. Additional challenges can be met by a change in seat positions, intervals or power pull techniques. Come along and try the newest 30 minute fitness program. A requirement of the class is the wearing of aqua gym shoes.
