Health and wellbeing
Maitland has both a public hospital, which boasts a 24 hour emergency department and a private hospital. Our excellent hospitals are complimented by several doctor's surgeries and a variety of health and medical specialists across the city, including but not limited to: pathologists, physiotherapists, dentists, podiatrists, optometrists and mental health professionals. The Maitland area also has a range of chemists, some of which operate extended hours and weekends. Some local chemists will even deliver to your door.
If you're seeking alternative health therapies Maitland features a wellness centre which offers dry needling and acupuncture amongst other services and there are plenty of other alternative specialists and service providers across Maitland including naturopathy, massage, reiki and mediation.
