Maitland City Council’s Control of Burning Policy explains when and how the burning of dead or dry vegetation may be permitted within the Maitland local government area. This policy prohibits all burning activities unless prior approval is obtained in accordance with all adopted legislation.  The policy has been reviewed to ensure that it is up to date with amendments to legislation while keeping its original purpose unchanged since the Policy’s adoption in 2014.
