Maitland Park Bowling Club

Calls for proposals and ideas for use of former Maitland Park Bowling Club

About

Maitland City Council is seeking input from the community, key stakeholders and commercial operators to inform its decision making on the potential adaptive reuse of the former Maitland Park Bowling Club building at Elgin Street, Maitland.

Constructed in the early 1900s, with an extension in the 1970’s, the building has been leased as a bowling club for over 120 years until its closure in 2022.

Strategically located in the heart of Maitland and recognising the range of potential benefits to the community, Council is seeking suggestions on future use, prior to determining next steps.

The expression of interest process from June to July 2023 has two main goals:

  • To help Council better understand what the community wants to see in the space
  • To provide interested community and commercial groups the opportunity to pitch a high level proposal.

Submissions are now closed.
