Make sure to grab a photo with Santa in his kitchen at The Riverlink. With printed photos delivered to you before Christmas, they will make a perfect gift.
Sessions take place every Thursday from 3.00pm to 7.00pm, Friday and Saturday from 9.00am to 1.00pm until Saturday 18 December. Photos are free and socially distanced, with the COVID Safe QR code sign up system for patrons to sign in on arrival and shop while they wait, rather than queueing.
If you’re looking for that last minute gift idea or some fresh produce for the big day, you’re sure to find it at The Levee’s Christmas Mini Market from 4.00pm on Friday 17 December. A carefully curated collection of local makers, growers and producers will be set up to provide gifts and speciality food. At the same time, roving entertainment, live Christmas tunes and Santa photos will add to the festive atmosphere.
Then from 5.30pm, Coffin Lane will host the next free LIVE at the Levee. Hunter Valley native and jazz musician Zoe K will be serving up a slice of old school soul with her authentic modern twist, alongside a pop up bar by The Farmer’s Wife Distillery and handmade gnocchi courtesy of Gnocked Up.
There’s fun at any time for the kids. Grab a map from participating stores and go on the hunt for Santa’s lost toys. There’s 10 to find in shop windows throughout The Levee. Completed hunts can go into the draw to win the lost toys.
While exploring the windows, vote for your favourite shopfront Christmas display and you could win a $100 voucher to your favourite restaurant at The Levee. There are over 20 shops in the competition.
The Levee’s Public Programs Officer David Graham says that Council’s Christmas offering aims to entice residents and visitors alike into the city centre to support local businesses and growers.
‘Whether you’re still on the lookout for a gift for someone special, simply stocking up on fresh produce for the holidays or just want a night off from cooking, find all that and more with our Christmas attractions and activities at The Levee.’
