As part of a recent review, Council identified areas of opportunity to enhance the Maitland Aquatic Centres’ leisure and recreation service offering at the two facilities. The pilot Dive in Cinema program at East Maitland Aquatic Centre is one new initiative to come out of the review, that will commence over Summer.
The program will take place on 10, 17 and 24 January with each evening featuring an outdoor movie, food stalls, silent disco and a range of family activities.
Tickets are $5 for general entry and $10 for in pool tickets and will go on sale in early December. Go to the Dive in Cinema event to find out more.
Over the next few months, bring the kids along to your local pool and beat the heat. Every day* during the school holidays inflatable fun will be held at East Maitland Aquatic Centre from 11.00am to 3.00pm. You can also access the pool’s super soakers and beach balls, or have a game of volleyball. The splashpad at Maitland Aquatic Centre will be operating daily* from 10.00am until 5.00pm. For opening hours and more details visit maitland.nsw.gov/aquatics
Note that inflatable fun is not held on Christmas Eve or public holidays and is subject to weather conditions.
Stories are everywhere waiting to be discovered, devoured and written by you. Tales of bravery, adventure, love and sadness reside on the library shelves and online.
