Meet Dee from the Maitland Animal Facility
Dee is highly experienced at caring for and rehoming animals and has built up a supportive community through her unique approach to the job. The vast majority of animals brought to Dee are returned to their owners or rehomed.
Some of those not reunited or rehomed are lucky enough to get a job, like one cocky rooster who lives on site to help staff understand how incoming animals behave around chickens. She thanks the community of people who follow her Facebook page for their part in her success.
Dee is fast to get the message out about lost animals and the community are always quick to respond. To help out, make sure your animals are registered, microchipped, and desexed. Doing this will mean you can be reunited with your lost furry friend as soon as possible.
