Annual Community grants
Council's Annual Community Grants Program aims to provide financial support to local not-for-profit community based organisations and groups to provide initiatives that meet community needs and benefit residents from the Maitland Local Government Area.
Funded initiatives foster community partnerships, promote access to community resources and encourage initiatives that provide benefits to the wider community. Maitland City Council’s Section 356 Community Grants Policy applies to this program.
Guidelines are detailed within the application and applicants can apply for up to $5,000. Acquittal forms are required no more than 30 days after the activity has been completed.
These grants cover four categories:
Projects that meet an identified need for residents, foster opportunities for community participation and allow community to connect and celebrate with one another.
Projects that provide opportunities for residents to participate in a broad range of arts, culture and/or local history activities that enhance quality of life.
Projects that provide opportunities for residents to engage in leisure and recreational activities with the aim of improving health, fitness and quality of life.
