Community grants

Council's Community Grants program provides financial support to local non-profit community based organisations for activities that benefit the community and resident needs.

Community Grants are designed to assist in the establishment of projects, services and facilities in Maitland that foster community partnerships, promote access to community resources, and are deemed to benefit the community.

Applications for 2018 Community Grants are now OPEN and close on the 30 September 2018. Please complete the application form.

These grants covered four categories:

Cultural and local studies

Projects, activities, and events that provide opportunities for residents to participate in a broad range of arts, culture and / or local history activities that enhance quality of life.

Community development

Projects, activities and events that meet an identified need for residents and foster opportunities for community participation and development.

Leisure and recreation

Projects, activities and events that provide opportunities for residents to engage in leisure and recreational activities with the aim of improving health, fitness and quality of life.

Community events and initiatives

Projects, activities or events that allow the community to connect and celebrate with one another, or, a temporary creative public initiative that encourages people to use underutilised spaces around the city.
