Know your flood risk
Flood information certificates provide information about whether a property is known to be flood-affected. This helps with planning, building and property decisions. Councils disclose this information as part of planning certificates, in line with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
You may need one when buying, developing, or building on land in Maitland.
Our flood maps
Our flood maps identify areas that are known to flood based on available flood studies, helping you understand potential hazards and make informed choices to protect your home & family. Flood can happen outside of mapped flood zones, especially during extreme weather events.
