Library education programs

Maitland City Library provides a range of activities and programs designed to encourage a love of books, reading, music and craft from an early age.

The library really has something for everyone and its education programs start at an early age for babies right through to adult learning. A variety of programs are available at each of the four locations in Central Maitland, East Maitland, Rutherford and Thornton.

Kids programs

Maitland City Library has a fantastic range of activities, events and competitions for kids of all ages. The library's kids programs aim to develop your child's love of language and reading, as well as foster their imagination and sense of adventure.

The library isn't just about books. In fact, they have an encyclopedia worth of programs for people of all ages. Beyond the book clubs, there is the adult literacy tutoring, writing workshops, help from library staff with technology, as well as the very popular Look Who's Talking series.
